The challenge
Every social platform exports a different format with different metric names. Comparing performance across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X required a repeatable way to bring those files into one trusted model.
The engineering
- Built a React and Django REST Framework application for uploading platform exports, with company and account configuration and file validation.
- Wrote per-platform modelers that normalize each export into a shared PostgreSQL schema.
- Made imports repeatable with upserts and recorded an audit summary for every load.
- Modeled SQL reporting views for content, audience, and engagement that feed Looker Studio dashboards.
